Music, Motion & Memories
Memory Lane Home Living Inc. (a not-for-profit dementia initiative) in collaboration with Seniors’ Consultants specializing in Occupational Therapy, Gerontology Activation Therapy and Music Therapy, created a 4-week pilot project of music and more. Please join us for lunch and to sing “old-time favourites” from various eras. Music and exercise optimize brain function, release “happy hormones” and give the brain a massage while filling it with happiness.
Where: Aurora Seniors Centre

When: Wednesdays from noon ’til 2:00 p.m. (Lunch Included). August 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd, 2018.
For Whom: Caregivers and their loved ones with memory loss looking for an opportunity to sing in community.

Lunch, Hymn Sing & Worship
Memory Lane Home Living Inc., in collaboration with St. Mary’s Anglican Church, and Chaplain Tom, are hosting a “dementia-friendly lunch, hymn sing and worship for caregivers and their loved ones.” This event is held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 10030 Yonge Street (Yonge and Major Mackenzie Dr. West) in Richmond Hill, every Friday* afternoon from 12 o’clock noon to 2 p.m.
The service is led by Chaplain Tom and his accompanist Ron, who have witnessed the healing power of hymns and worship to the senior population they work with. Memory Lane Home Living Inc. invite you to come for lunch at noon, participate in the hymn sing and worship, and stay afterwards for fellowship with other caregivers and their loved ones.
